Macrossan Street is the vibrant heart of Port Douglas, a main street with views of the water in both directions. On the south end of this bustling street is the Coral Sea and Four Mile Beach while to the north is Dickson Inlet over Stinger Park, the home the Sunday Markets.
Macrossan Street has some fantastic and diverse shops for holiday retail therapy. From fashion stores and clothing outlets for the resort casual look to speciality and local designer boutique shops for something extra special.
There are variety of different craft and tropical art shops as well as all kinds of home-ware store for all your souvenir hunting. Situated in the centre of Macrossan St is Port Village Shopping Centre which is home to Coles and Target Country as well as retail stores and cafes.
Fantastic Food and Entertainment
Port Douglas presents the best in tropical dining and the best of those are on Macrossan Street. From Zinc Restaurant at the southern end past great ice-creamery's and juice shops, Italian restaurants and Rattle'n'Hum you get to family restaurants like Mango Jam in the middle of the street.
At the North end we have the historic pubs, The Central Hotel Port Douglas and The Courthouse Hotel Port Douglas for great meals and music as well as the Iron Bar and Paddy's to round off the main streets' entertainment options.
